躁胜寒,静胜热。
清静,可以为天下正。
Agitation helps overcome frigid cold,
Serenity prevails over fiery heat.
The state of Tranquility is thus ensured.
躁而不热,静而不寒。
To hasten yet not overheat,
To be still yet not frozen,
Thus a balance is strike.
If one is out in the freezing cold, one’s movement helps to keep the cold at bay,
If one is under the scorching heat, one needs to seek shade to cool down.
It is that state of balance that tranquility may prevail.
Between that of Agitation & Serenity, Balance of Actions & Inactions.
